865 Academies @ Bearden

Bearden High School follows the district’s 865 Academies model. Ninth-grade students learn within the Freshman Academy, building a strong foundation for high school success.

BHS offers three career-themed academies:

In 10th grade, students join one of our three career-themed academies:

  • Business, Leadership, and Communication (BLC); 
  • Health and Human Science and Services (H2S2); or
  • Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and the Arts (STEM-A).

Upcoming Events

Coming in as a freshman, I was nervous at first, but Bearden has felt really welcoming. I’ve already made new friends, and my teachers make it easy to adjust. I’m excited to see all the opportunities I’ll have over the next four years. Ella, Freshman
